History

On February 16, 2008, a baby in respiratory distress was brought to the hospital, where it died a few days later. According to the physician, the baby had been abused and violently shaken, which led to its death.

After the baby was hospitalized, the mother, Flotvelyne Jean-Louis, and her boyfriend, Pierre Casy Mesidor, were hardly ever at the baby’s bedside. They have not been seen or heard from since February 22, 2008.

To date, a search for the couple has been fruitless. On February 27, 2008, an arrest warrant was issued on a charge of second-degree murder.
