
Last night, Sûreté du Québec police officers proceeded with the arrest of Martin Pellerin. This individual was among the 10 most wanted criminals in Quebec. The police investigation conducted by the investigators of the Regional Investigation Bureau of the MontrealLavalLaurentidesLanaudière district led to Mr. Pellerin’s arrest at approximately 8:30 p.m. in a residence on Rue des Chasseurs in Saint-Alexis-des-Monts.
Martin Pellerin had been wanted since July 14, 2000, for escaping from the Montée Saint-François Institution in Laval. He was serving a five-year sentence for attempted murder and possession of narcotics.
