On a night in February 1995, Boisbriand police officers attempted to intercept a driver who failed to stop at a traffic light and who was driving with the headlights off. As he refused to stop, the police officers took up the chase. Martin Pellerin, a passenger in this vehicle, pointed a 9-mm. revolver at police officers and fired approximately 15 shots. Nevertheless, the Boisbriand police officers were able to immobilize the vehicle. A 22-calibre pistol was found in the vehicle and a 9-mm. pistol was retrieved from the side of the road.
Following these events, Martin Pellerin was found guilty of attempted murder and possession of narcotics, and sentenced to five years less a day in prison. Martin Pellerin was a member or associate of the Rock Machine. At the height of the biker gang war, he was very active.
In October 1997, while incarcerated at the Donnacona Detention Centre, he committed an attempted murder and this time received a seven-year prison sentence.
However, three years later, the convict escaped from the Montée Saint-François prison in Laval, where he was serving his sentence. His escape was noticed when he was missing during the evening head count.
Martin Pellerin is wanted for escaping from lawful custody.
