History

On May 22, 2004, at about 2:20 a.m., Ruben Rodriguez Herrera broke into the home of his ex-spouse, Braulia Lazo located on Des Narcisses Street in Montreal North. He hid in the closet and waited for her arrival. Then, he stabbed Ms. Lazo and a friend who was with her, Mr. Léonardo Guerrero. The latter died of his injuries, while Ms. Lazo is in hospital with serious injuries.

A warrant for his arrest for murder and attempted murder was issued for Ruben Rodriguez Herrera, but he was never found.

The suspect was already All Point Bulletinby Immigration Canada because he was in Canada illegally. Information leads us to believe that the accused might be hiding in the United States or might have returned to his native country, Guatemala.
