On November 27, 2005, outside a bar on Boulevard de la Concorde in Laval, the suspect Thierry Bazile and the victim had an argument. Seeing that she could not settle her differences with Bazile, the victim moved away from the premises and headed towards a convenience store on the other side of the street. She walked approximately 20 metres and heard two shots from a firearm. A bullet hit her in the back.
The victim managed to notify the police. She was driven to the hospital for treatment.
Thierry Bazile has since been wanted for attempted murder. At the time of the events, he was linked to a street gang.
